For half a decade, Mile Public House has thrived in one of Montreal’s greatest urban areas and is expanding their success with two new locations. Originally founded in the quartier Dix 30 in Brassard, Mile Public House offers a lively atmosphere with extremely wild and delicious drinks that has kept their clientele coming back for more.
One of the unique aspects that separate Mile Public House from other local pubs is their mouth-watering craft cocktails. It is evident that every drink they make there is from fresh ingredients that are all made in house. Their mixologist and co-owner Manndy Vibes Jr. ensures that their cocktail game is always at the top. We were able to try some of their local drinks and it’s unbelievable how fresh and natural sugars can change the overall experience and taste of a cocktail. The passion fruit cocktail is a tequila based drink mixed with homemade simple syrup, real passion fruit, honey and fresh herbs.
Of course, one of the benefits to having a cocktail bar like Mile Public House, you can tell the bartenders what you like and sure enough they will create something to your liking. And if you’re the type of person that enjoys experimenting with different flavours, Mile Public House changes their drink menu twice a year to match the season, which invites us to enjoy seasonal ingredients as well. Along with their famous cocktail bar, you can also enjoy local and fresh beers, whiskeys, and wine as they carry something for everyone’s liking!
Since Mile Public House is experienced when it comes to having a good time, the Laval location offers exciting new perks. Their 2000 sq.foot terrace is equipped with heated floors, heaters on the roof, and a stunning fire pit that is accessible to all customers. It reminded us of the “Chalet” theme that complements our Quebec and Canadian heritage. We really enjoyed that the terrace will be fully functional even in our dreadful winters.
As Mile Public House is an urban pub, the food is simple but tastes delicious. We got the impression that Mile Public House is serving food that everyone will enjoy as they focus on the quality rather than impressing on pure appearance. We know for most food lovers, this is what we expect from an urban pub. Their ingredients are fresh and again, change with the seasons for a tastier experience.
The Laval location is massive and offers something for everyone to enjoy. They are consistently promoting their private events and are great at accommodating large groups.
