Located on a nondescript downtown street in the old fur district, away from the busy St-Laurent, Crescent, or Plateau Mont-Royal crowds, Furco is a casual-chic pub, wine bar, and restaurant housed in an old fur warehouse (once called Fur & Company, hence the name Furco). Behind its glass and stone facade, you will find a venue with elements of wood and metal expertly intertwined to create an eye-catching design. The mirrors on the walls and the open kitchen make this rustic bar feel more spacious, and the concrete walls and columns speak to its historic remnants. Bar Furco attracts a varied clientele, from university students to professionals. In the summer, you can even enjoy their terrace, shared with their sister café and restaurant, Parvis.

Hungry? Grab a seat and enjoy their fine cuisine, then look around! Their menu items are clipped to a string all around the restaurant. The menu is subject to change, and consists of light and rich dishes, for those arriving with a big or small appetite. Some dishes include oysters, fried scallops, smoked salmon gravlax, and horse tataki. Enjoy their varied desserts, such as chocolate mousse, apple pie, or banana caramel pasty.

Thirsty? Sit down on the high stools at the bar and mingle with the bartenders. Choose from a large wine selection or ask the bartenders to surprise you with some of their great cocktails, such as the classic Pimm’s Cup or their expertly crafted Old Fashioned. For the beer lovers, Bar Furco also has a great selection of drafts.

Although Furco is a great bar for drinks and partying, it is also a sweet spot for an intimate and chic date-night, with round two-seater tables for those evenings where you can’t get close enough.

Bar Furco is open every day of the week from 4:00pm to 3:00am, with the kitchen closing at midnight from Tuesdays to Saturdays and at 10:00pm Sundays and Mondays. They are sure to have something for everyone, whether it is a delicious meal or a delectable drink. For a group of six people or more, make sure to make a reservation. This place fills up quickly!
