Named in honor of the building’s owner, Mme Lee, located in Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles, is an animated, original, and hip cocktail bar with added gourmet snacks for the hungry drinker. Mme Lee doesn’t have any signs on the exterior facade, so make note of the address before heading out for some drinks.

For a 5 à 7 with co-workers, a get-together with friends, or even a fun date-night, Mme Lee stands out with its ambiance. Their decor is anything but ordinary: walk into a bar with an industrial feel, complete with angular structures and tiled walls. The look is reminiscent of a chic subway station mixed with futuristic elements, such as fibre optic-looking lighting. The look at Mme Lee also respects the architectural aesthetic of the Quartier des Spectacles by incorporating wooden tables, which are inspired by the wooden panels of the Maison Symphonique in Place des Arts.

At Mme Lee, the stars of the menu are the cocktails. They can offer you classics or revisited classics, such as Mme Lee’s Iced Tea. They also have specialty cocktails, such as the Pimms Potager or the Cherry Lemonade with Hennessy. You can also enjoy a wide selection of hand-picked wine (private imports), as well as a healthy, fresh and easily sharable tapas menu. This menu also revisits some tasty classics, like their mango guacamole. Tuesdays are the best at Mme Lee: oysters are $1, while supplies last.

Since music is key at Mme Lee, you will hear the varied sounds of different DJs throughout the week. Each night will offer the crowd a different sound. Saturdays, you can hear the sounds of DJ Ledisko, and on Wednesdays, you can enjoy Foxtrott’s music with Khoa Lê hosting Tiki Lee nights (cocktails are only $10).

Mme Lee is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 5:00pm to 3:00am, with the kitchen closing at 11:00pm. They cater to an mature crowd of young adults. Reservations are accepted for groups of 15 and more.

As they themselves proclaim, “Mme Lee is a bar and restaurant by Montrealers, for Montrealers”.
