In the mood for comfort food at its sauciest? Dinette Triple Crown will satisfy that craving with their original recipes for delicious classics, special sauces, and unique cocktails.

This nondescript eatery with no explicit signage provides a vintage and authentic atmosphere. Dinette Triple Crown is a family owned restaurant from the ‘20s with an old-school charm complete with old photos and pickle jars exposed on their wooden shelves.

In addition to their mouth-watering menu, the restaurant offers approximately five daily specials and a list of cocktails including non-alcoholic beverages served in large mason jars. To die for: the homemade lemonade.

Their specialty is the Big Nasty: fried chicken, aged cheddar, and chicken gravy are served on a biscuit and create an absolutely perfect southern meal. They recommend their patrons order a plate or sandwich of non-greasy fried chicken (1, 2, or 3 pieces), pulled pork, or beef, accompanied by a varied choice of sides including beans, hush puppies, and salads. The sweet potato fries and the mac ’n cheese are must haves. Slather your meal with one of their special homemade sauces, also displayed on shelves and available for purchase.

The dessert list includes three choices, one of which is the warm apple cake infused with cinnamon and a side of vanilla ice cream.

The restaurant’s summer special includes a picnic in the park. When the weather is nice, the restaurant provides patrons with the tools to picnic in the park across the street. They prepare a picnic basket with your order that includes: a red and white checkered table cloth, dishes, cutlery, napkins, a variety of their famous sauces, and mason jars of water and your selected drinks (only non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park).

Dinette Triple Crown also offers takeout and delivery services up until the Plateau and Jean Talon East.

For about $25 per person (including your meal, drink, and dessert), this tiny eatery provides a happy stomach and the ultimate Southern experience!
