Drysdale Group is throwing another party of epic proportions, combining a beach party with MMA fighting. Huh? MMA fighting? Confused? Well, so were we, until we found out what that meant. If you need to vent some frustrations, just had a bad breakup, or had an awful week at work, this party is for you, and we’re not just talking about the booze.

Saturday, July 23rd, head over to Beach Club for Drysdale’s Hit the Beach party. From noon to 8pm, get a few drinks in your system and throw a few punches! You’ll be able to get some boxing in in between drinks. Participate in public supervised sparrings in a professional MMA Cage open to everyone! Firas Zahabi, Montreal’s MMA legend and one of George St-Pierre’s personal coaches, will be there to referee.

All participants will get a cup, a mouth guard, 20oz gloves, and full helmets. You’ll be able to fight for 2 minutes a round, and the crowd will decide the winner of each match. We’re sure these fights will be entertaining after a few drinks! But the hosts promise that the fights will occur in a very safe and controlled environment, so if you’re not a great fighter, there’s no need to worry!

Later, there will be a real beach wrestling tournament on the main stage! The game will be scored like a real MMA fight, except this one is being fought on the sand. We wonder how much of a challenge that will be! Bonus: try to spot celebrity UFC fighters who will be in attendance to take photos and chat!

Watching or participating in all these fights is sure to get you hungry, so there will be the usual food trucks in attendance. To top it off, you’ll be able to try out the Flyboard®, a cross between a wakeboard and a kite surf. You can fly above water, dive like a dolphin, and do all kinds of acrobatics!

Hit the Beach isn’t just an awesome summer beach party. It’s also a philanthropic party! Funds will go towards the Montreal Children’s Hospital in order to help purchase high-priority medical equipment. It always feels better when you know you’re partying for a good cause! How can you say no?
