Surprisingly, Montreal has yet to host an outdoor Poutine Festival in its beautiful city. We did have great poutines with La Poutine Week and we’ve all heard of the amazing Poutine Festival in Drummondville. While many have religiously made the pilgrimage every year, for those living in Montreal and can’t take the time to travel that far, we have the answer you’ve been longing for.
This summer, in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port, Le Smoking BBQ is proud to present Montreal’s first Poutinefest! This weekend-long event is going to be a glorious one. Poutine makers from across the city and province will be in attendance to satisfy all your poutine needs. Bar Brutus, Big D’s Dog House, Fat Les’s Chip Stand, Golden Fries, Great Canadian Poutinerie, Heart Attack Poutine, L’Gros Luxe, Le Smoking BBQ, Planète Poutine, Routine Poutine, and Poutine Centrale comprise the heavy-hitters line-up at this year’s event. Drooling yet?
Poutinefest will be taking place from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th. Did we mention that it was going to be free? The event will be free to enter as you can walk about deciding which poutine you want to cross off your list first.
As it’s still early with weeks until the event, you can visit Le Smoking BBQ’s food truck along with many other food trucks around the city. If you want to find some food trucks, check out this map by the homies at Streetfood Quest Montreal.
