New Year’s Eve always brings lots of promise – the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. But where should you be when the countdown to 2015 begins? Many reception halls and clubs throw New Year’s Eve parties but a true foodie wants something gourmet. Sel Gras

Sel Gras was unable to celebrate last year because of a fire, but rest assured they are ready this year! They are offering a 6 course menu of Montreal-inspired fare with specialty cocktails and wine for $105 before 8:30pm, and $120 afterwards, tax and tip included.

Manitoba

If you’re in the mood for a little wild game, check out Manitoba on St. Zotique. They offer a 7 course menu for $75 or $120 with wine. You’ll be treated to something special, including their famous deer heart, bone marrow, fish, and a surprise dessert. Don’t miss out!

Tripes & Caviar

If you want an adventurous end to the year, Tripes & Caviar has you covered with a 7 course menu with cocktails starting at 6:00pm for $120. This Verdun restaurant will offer something to make the foodies fall happily into the New Year. No animal part will be spared in their cuisine. There’s always a party at the castle!

Kyozon

Kyozon is offering several options from $28 to $119 for what they’re calling New Year’s Eve Kamasutra at Kyozon. Depending on the ticket you buy, you have the option of a 3 or 4 course menu, open bar, party packages, and more. Party at the newest Izakaya in Montreal to see what the fuss is about. La Champagnerie

Champagne is a must on New Year’s Eve, so what better place to celebrate than La Champagnerie? A 4 course menu including a glass of champagne is offered at $100 per person. Dinner is served until 10:00pm and then the party starts with Ja Big and DJ Mac D.

L’Orignal

L’Orignal is offering a few options: at 7:00pm, they have “Le Petit Festin” for $80 and at 9:00pm, “Le Grand Festin” for $125. If you’re there after 11:00pm, there is complimentary champagne and MC Moose and after 1:00am, start 2015 with complimentary cheese, charcuterie, and chocolate at the bar.

Helena

Helena is offering a “Noite de São Silvestre,” ringing in the New Year Portuguese style. A 4 course menu at 6:00pm is offered for $75 and a 6 course menu is offered at 8:30pm for $95. You can be sure the menu will be filled with delicious Portuguese fare.

Le Richmond

Looking for something elegant to ring in the New Year? Look no further than Griffintown’s Golden Extravaganza at Le Richmond. In conjunction with Veuve Cliquot and Belvedere Vodka, Le Richmond is offering a night of glitter and gold and asks guests to dress their best to match the theme of Gold, Black, Bronze, and Cream at $100 per person. L’Gros Luxe

L’Gros Luxe is known for their fun and cheap eats, so we know that their New Year’s Eve party will be loads of fun. If you arrive at 6:00pm, you can enjoy 7 courses for $75, and after 9:00pm you can enjoy 7 courses and 5 cocktails for $100. Their courses include oysters, beef or salmon tartare, steak, and much more. With two locations, you can choose if you want to party in the Plateau or Mile End.

Commerce Gastrobar 

New on the scene, Commerce Gastrobar just opened in December and they are already planning a New Year’s Eve bash with gourmet bar eats. Your options include a reduced menu and 4 course menu at 65$, or party at 11:30pm until 3:00am with DJ J-Fro for $25 at the door. If you’re dining at any other Mtl Cuisine restaurant prior to partying it up, entrance at Commerce is free. Check out their website to reserve.
