In the midst of Montreal’s Little Italy where the aroma of traditional food and coffee gives way to the streets comes a whole other world of culture. RADIX: Designer by Nature is an art exhibition presented by Cavallo Design that will be brimming with creativity from June 4th to June 21st, 2015 from 12:00pm to 10:00pm. Located on the quaint Dante Street, RADIX is a free exhibition open to lovers of art in all its guises.
Sandy Cavallo, founder & artistic director at Cavallo Design, is the mastermind leading this fascinating exhibition. The theme behind RADIX: Designer by Nature stems from Cavallo’s belief that creative skills are seeded in an artist at a young age in the purest and truest form. RADIX is a unique occasion where the inspired nature of thirteen local artists will come together through photography, paint, jewelry, fabric, and art to showcase their brilliant work with select pieces available for sale. Featured artists: Adriano Ciampoli, Antoinette Di Carlo, Antonietta Presti, Corrado, Cynthia Magri, Julia Cavanagh, Mike Martino, Mimmo Scali, Nick Petronzio, Oriana Pizzingrilli, Sandy Cavallo, Stephanie Dugré, Virginie Bernal.
Helping Cavallo make this exhibition a grand success are advocates of Montreal artists and primary sponsors of the RADIX exhibition: Carrosserie Euro, BMW Laval, Traiteur Bon Appetit, Zinman Marché de Volailles, and Lisa + Eddy Photography.
RADIX’s vernissage will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd from 6:00pm to 11:00pm where art lovers, media, and the community at large will gather for an evening of art, fashion, creativity, and networking. The opening night will include complimentary wine from Vinitor and delicious goodies from Mr. Biscotti, La Cornetteria, and Arte Farina. With the Grand Prix right around the corner and the vernissage during the same week, car enthusiasts will be pleased to feast their eyes on the Ferrari 355 from Carroserie Euro and the new BMW i3 electric car from BMW Laval. Who says it ends there? There will also be a live acoustic performance by Le Strisce, a popular musical group from Naples, Italy that has opened for bands such as The Kooks and Babyshambles.
