A Montreal favourite is celebrating its second birthday. Uniburger, the delicious burger spot opened up by Younes Bengeloune, is celebrating in a MASSIVE way. How, you ask? UNIBURGER WEEK. What’s that you say? By providing the people of Montreal with a different special twist on the classic Uniburger each day next week (March 9th to March 15th).
But wait! That’s not even the best part. These daily specials will be cooked up by some of our city’s best culinary talents. Who might these mighty chefs be? Danny Smiles of Le Bremner, Fabrizio Covone of Bottega Pizzeria, Emma Cardarelli of Nora Gray, Derek Dammann of Maison Publique, Stephen Leslie of the Taverns (Monkland and the Square), Lionel Piraux formerly of Toqué!, and Colin Perry of Dinette Triple Crown. Take a moment. Let that sink in. Can we get a holy CHUCK (as in ground chuck aka burger meat, of course)? These superstars will be taking over the grill and serving up their daily creations, with ingredients never before seen before in the Uniburger kitchen. Drooling.
And if all this wasn’t already enough to get you on an exclusively Uniburger diet for the whole of next week (because we wouldn’t judge you if you made that choice), eating these burgers will also be a charitable act. Literally. Proceeds from these daily and unique burgers will go to a charity of the cooking chef’s choosing. So celebrating Uniburger Week is good for your stomachs and good for the community.
Younes and the Uniburger team are extremely excited to share all the “gustatory madness” (his words), so it’s best you get down there. NOW. Seriously, how could you not? Stay informed about all the upcoming feasting with drool-worthy hype on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Stop in Monday to Saturday from 11:00am until 9:00pm and 12:00pm until 8:00pm on Sunday.
See you in line, Montrealers!
