Local DJ, producer, and Fool’s Gold signee High Klassified will be dropping a set at Le Belmont alongside Da-P and Planet Giza. Check out Le Belmont on Friday, January 8th if you like dope beats and chill vibes.
Igloofest is back again and the line up couldn’t be any crazier. Just to name a few (because the line up is that big), this year’s Igloofest will have the likes of Black Tiger Sex Machine, Bonobo, Brodinski, Lunice, Ryan Playground, and The Martinez Brothers dropping sets.
Canadian Alessia Cara released her album Know-It-All signed under Def Jam Recordings. At just 19 years old, her music career looks like it is going to take off, starting with her most recent hit single “Here.” She’ll be at the Corona Theatre mid month for a show you will want to check out.
New City Gas is always bringing the heat even when it’s cold out. French producer and DJ Madeon will be at New City Gas to drop a set. He is known for his studio album Adventure which hit #1 on US Dance charts.
Cyhi The Prynce + CJ Flemings & Young Mic
Cyhi The Prynce is an American rapper signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music. If you like some good hip-hop and rap, this is a show for you. CJ Flemings and Young Mic will round off the show at Le Belmont.
The Knocks + Cardiknox & Sofi Tukker
NYC electronic music duo The Knocks consists of Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner and James “JPatt” Patterson. Their first studio album is supposedly being released this year so be sure to check out the show for a sneak peek.
Muse + X Ambassadors
Muse is coming to town and this is a must see show for the rock fans of Montreal. Muse is a widely known band having won and having been nominated for numerous music awards including the Grammys.
Anjunabeats: Andrew Bayer, Grum, ilan Bluestone, Jason Ross
Anjunabeats’ world tour is stopping by Montreal with a show at the SAT. Andrew Bayer, Grum, Ilan Bluestone, and Jason Ross will be providing great music in an always amazing venue.
Young Rival + We Are Monroe & Lost Cousins
Canadian indie band Young Rival will be playing a show down at Le Belmont on January 28th. They are fresh off their newest album Interior Light. Rounding off the show are We Are Monroe and Lost Cousins. For the indie rock heads out there, we didn’t forget about you!
Aussie indie folk singer and songwriter Vance Joy is best known for his hit single “Riptide” which amassed over 100 million views on YouTube! His album Dream Your Life Away that released last year was a big hit. He’ll be playing at the Metropolis later this month.
If you like electronic and indie rock, then Neon is what you need. The Fairmount Theatre will be the venue Neon Indian will play at on the 29th of this month. Their newest album Vega Intl. Night School released last year October.
The Sheepdogs + Beat Cops
The Sheepdogs are a Canadian band from Saskatchewan. They are best known for their song “Feeling Good” which hit certified Gold along with a couple more of their songs.
The king Tiesto is coming back to Montreal once again to play at New City Gas! Tiesto is no stranger to this city with him playing shows every year. This is one way to end the month for the EDM fans out there.
