Are you bored of the same old fitness routine? Do you find your mind drifting as your repeatedly bicep curl in the same four walls of your home gym? Is step class just not cutting it anymore? Are stationary machines just not as motivating as they used to be? Switch up your routine and get excited about working out again. Try some of these super fun, unique new fitness options offered in Montreal. All the classes below can be done on a drop-in basis so try one or all of them and add some spice to your workout schedule.

Studio-X

How would you like to strength train all your major muscle groups in a short 20-minute session? The trick is to do it while wearing a suit that uses electrical muscle stimulation at Studio X (and you’ll look like a character straight out of Tomb Raider). Perform simple exercises while receiving painless electrical impulses to your muscles in a safe and efficient one-on-one training session. It’ll feel like you’ve been working out for an hour, but you’ll be done (and sweaty) in only 20 minutes. Add that extra edge to your training regime by trying electrical muscle stimulation training. A first time trial session is $20. Monthly, annual, and class packages exist as well.

REVKOR(at Victoria Park)

Do you want to feel like a top athlete and try out a brand-new training method? One of the hottest new group fitness trends is the REVKOR™ workout. This strength training class involves resistance-bands that create suspension-based resistance as a series of isotonic movements are completed. Elements of yoga, high intensity interval training, pilates, and bootcamp are included in the hour long class. You’ll leave the class feeling strong, fearless, and zen (and don’t forget sweaty!), and convinced that the drop-in rate was worth the splurge.

Victoria Park offers a class drop-in fee, as well as weekly and monthly unlimited class passes. Bonus: they’re offering a free drop-in pass for first-timers for the month of August.
