If you’re looking for a night of big band music and a sexy burlesque experience, look no further than the FAM: Big Band Burlesque Extravaganza at Club Soda!
The event is set to feature a number of burlesque as well as circus-inspired dancers including the up-and-coming Sarah Isabelle, Josianne Villeneuve, and Audrey Maheux-Racine, who will be joined by Myriam Farger and Emilie Hebert – two important names not only in the Quebec burlesque scene, but the national and international scenes as well.
The show promises to “sparkle with performances by [Montreal’s own] feature star Scarlett James,” who has managed the impressive task of captivating European, Las Vegas, and Shanghai audiences, thanks, in part, to her impressive tailored costumes sure to titillate anyone in her audience.
The circus component of the show will be provided by Duo Miraka, “two stunning female acrobats who have taken the circus world by storm with their prowess on the hoopole – a unique hybrid apparatus combining a dancing pole with an aerial hoop”.
FAM also promises to satisfy your live-music need thanks to performances by Christian Leclair and his Big Band. Leclerc is a veteran of such musicals as Hairspray and Grease and is considered Quebec’s master of the big band sound. Additionally, the band will feature Elie Bertrand, a percussionist who has opened for the likes of Motley Crüe.
Costumes are provided by Quebec’s undisputed leading drag queen costumier, Jonathan Grandolfo.
This eclectic show is sure to provide everyone something they are looking for, whether it be beautiful women famed for their seductive prowess to leading big band performers. Head to Club Soda on Saturday, June 25th at 8pm to experience some of the best Quebec’s burlesque scene has to offer.
