Looking to make a contribution to a wonderful cause in Montreal? On June 12th, The Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) will be hosting a gala event to celebrate forty years of cancer research! All proceeds raised at the event will go toward cancer research, specifically research for leukemia and bone marrow transplants.

The ICRF is a group of scientists, doctors, and volunteers who have been making astounding progress in the fight against cancer since 1975. In addition to funding cancer research in Israel, the ICRF works with the McGill Centre for Translational Research in Cancer with the Jewish General Hospital right in the city. To date, the ICRF has raised over $40 million to fund projects in cancer research.

The ICRF’s 40th Anniversary Gala will take place at Place des Arts on Monday, June 12th at 6pm. There will be complimentary cocktails and delicious canapés to nibble on, as well as a performance by Andy Grammer, known for his hit single “Honey, I’m Good”, at 8pm. The night will be hosted by none other than Catherine Verdon-Diamond of Breakfast Television Montreal. This special event will also be held in honour of Stu Schwartz, more famously known as “Stuntman Stu”, the radio host and sports commentator who recently won his courageous battle against leukemia.
