Le Hachoir is better known for their tartares and burgers, hence the restaurant name, “hachoir,” which translates to grinder, i.e. meat grinder. Grinder may sound familiar, and that’s because Grinder Grange et Vin is their sister restaurant, also known for their raw selection. This year, however, Le Hachoir has added brunch to their roster, and we couldn’t be more excited!

The lovely restaurant is located on the corner of St Denis and Rachel, boasting beautiful corner windows perfect for people watching (or peeping in at patrons happily munching away). Inside, the restaurant is narrow but long with a lot of seating. It’s the perfect restaurant to take your brunch pictures because of their full wall of windows. Any brunch addict knows that it takes great lighting for those mouthwatering foodie pictures!

Le Hachoir mainly focused on lunch and dinners, but recently they’ve decided to form a brunch menu by integrating their signature dishes with typical brunch dishes. One such dish is their delicious salmon tartare eggs benedict served on a cheddar scone and a breakfast brisket burger. Sounds like foodie heaven! If you’re looking for something sweet, go for the French toast served with bacon, Brie, and apples; it truly is mouth watering and has the perfect combination of sweet and salty.

You definitely won’t be disappointed. With so many interesting breakfast items, you may have a hard time choosing what to eat. Our suggestion, go with friends and order a few plates to share. And don’t worry, you won’t leave thirsty. They also serve lattes, coffee, and mimosas, perfect for a celebratory meal.

Brunch is only served on weekends from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the food is always garnished to perfection. Perfect for all you Instagramers and aspiring foodie aficionados
