Last week we were blown away, to say the least, at the unveiling of the highly anticipated Barbie Expo at Les Cours Mont-Royal. Our hearts were beating quickly when we heard about the launch, so just imagine our reaction as we stepped onto the pink carpet and witnessed over 1000 one-of-a-kind Barbie dolls on display; our jaws dropped!
This impressive display is spread out over a 5000 square foot space featuring Barbie dolls wearing styles that represent every trend, generation, and culture. For all of you fashion aficionados out there, prepare to be in utter lust at the sight of the many haute couture Barbies dressed in world renowned designers like Dior, Versace, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Christian Louboutin, and many (many!) others.
There are also entertainment industry Barbies that will take adults down memory lane, including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Farrah Fawcett, Barbra Streisand, and the list goes on. There are also the more contemporary icons such as Queen B, JLo, Kate Middleton, The Hunger Game’s Jennifer Lawrence, and the oh-so-drooly Robert Pattison in Twilight.
Step up in the limited edition Barbie box and snap a photo of what we think is the most beautiful Barbie of them all, YOU! Although the beloved Barbie doll is a childhood memory for many of us, this world-class Barbie museum is equally enjoyed by children as it is by adults.
The excitement for this fascinating exposition doesn’t end there; the Barbie Expo is a permanent installation that will be opened during normal business hours, seven days a week. Admission is FREE, but donations towards Make-A-Wish® Quebec are strongly encouraged!
