On the evening of Wednesday, November 9, 5431 St-Laurent was magically transformed into a space that was warm, inviting, and most importantly one that could hold a number of people, as it was the site for the dual-launch of Deux Lion Jewelry’s new line and space and Voskins Lunetterie second location. Coming in, guests were immediately greeted with a display of Deux Lion’s new jewelry line, which marries raw materials — such as uncut rose quartz — with dainty and detailed silver work.

Guests were treated to food and drinks as well as music curated by on-site DJ Maddielonglegz who relinquished the stage for Gabrielle Shonk’s live performance a little later in the evening. Things got packed pretty quickly as the evening progressed, with many coming in to visit the new space as well as add beautiful items to their wish lists.

Deux Lion’s new line launch proved to be particularly satisfying eye candy. The Montreal-based line (or is it really Narnia-based?) makes all the jewelry by hand and even some custom pieces — all of which are made with love and are an easy addition to an outfit that transitions from day to night.

This is not to say that pieces which would appeal to any woman’s inner badass are lacking; in fact, the whole line marries edge with timelessness, which results in a collection of pieces that could be worn on days when you’re feeling more girly (such as the daisy pattern choker) to when you’re feeling, well, like the handmade sterling silver Nico Sharktooth Pendant is more appropriate.
