You may as well just bookmark this now, because you’re going to want to consult it every time a craving hits. Because don’t you ever have an oyster craving? You’re feeling a little peckish, you want a cocktail (or three), and you’re in the mood for salty, briny, wonderful oysters. That’s how we feel pretty much every night of the week. To save us all a few bucks (so we can get more oysters next week), Montreal is kind enough to offer us oyster specials at plenty of top notch restaurants. We’ve split it up for you based on the days of the week or 5 à 7 specials. Happy shucking!

Monday

If you think there’s nothing to do on Mondays, think again. We have 4 hot spots that serve $1 oysters: La Bétise, Brasserie Bernard, Pub Sir Joseph, and Thursday’s (as of 6:00pm).

Tuesday

Ah the terrible Twos-day. Never fear, La Societé is here with $1 oysters as of 5:00pm!

Wednesday

Hump day is pretty popular, with another 6 restaurants shucking to our hearts content! Kinoya IzakayaSuwu, Flyjin, Santos, and Cartel Street Food have $1 oysters. Restaurant La Sirène de la Mer (with their poissonerie next door) have an $18 per dozen special.

Thursday

Jeudredi means we’re that much closer to Friday, but it’s basically another Friday in Montreal. Good ol’ Greasy Spoon has oysters for $1. Le Slang has $1 oysters for their 5 à 7 and Chez Delmo has oysters from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for $1 at the bar.

Friday

Because La Societé is always there for us, they have $1 oysters on Fridays as well. And after 7:00pm, Monsieur Resto + Bar has a buck a shuck as well. What better way to end the work week than with briny bivalves and a good bottle of wine?

Saturday

Ah, the weekend! Just because restaurants are generally busy anyway on Saturdays, doesn’t mean they’ll leave you hanging! Kuu Bistro has $1 oysters ready for you.

Sunday

Not to be left out, Sundays are also a hot time for oysters. We all need to drown our sorrows in a bucket of oysters at another weekend long gone. Perk yourself up with $1 oysters at Le North End Bar (and try one of their expertly made cocktails while you’re at it).

5 à 7

5 à 7 in Montreal isn’t always from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Sometimes it’s from 4:00pm, sometimes it’s until 8:00pm, but it’s always a time for happiness, cocktails, and oysters.

Everyday

And these are the pride and joy of Montreal: restaurants that offer us oyster specials every day. What more can you ask for? Les Tontons Flingueurs have a 4 à 7 special for $1 oysters. Chez Victoire have 5 oysters for $7 every day for 5 à 7. Huis Clos have a 5 à huitres (8:00pm) special of 8 oysters for $5. Le Ballpark has $1 oysters every day, because they’re just so wonderful. Finally, Maestro SVP will shuck a dozen Beausoleil oysters for $20 from 4:00pm to 7:00 Friday to Sunday and all night from Monday to Thursday.

Scattered Days

Some restaurants like to keep us on their toes, so their 5 à 7 specials aren’t as easy as 1, 2, 3. Taverne Gaspar has $1 oysters from Monday to Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Bar Commerce has $1 oysters from Monday to Saturday for 5 à 7 (they’re closed Sundays, so they really did their best). Labarake Caserne à Manger have $1 oysters at the bar from 5:00pm to 8:00pm from Sunday to Wednesday. Finally, Restaurant Communion has the standard 5 à 7 from Tuesday to Friday with $1 oysters.
