Every Montrealer has that one spot they keep going back to and Arts Café happens to be one of them. Located on Fairmount in the Mile End, Arts is a favourite amongst it’s neighbour’s as a go to spot for students and writers or for anyone seeking out a satisfying brunch. It’s hard to find a café that meets all the required criteria for a home away from home vibe but Arts Café has the whole package. Not only do they serve up a perfect latte but in addition they have a creative take on meals which range from 6$-14$.

The menu at Arts is always being tweaked and altered even though there are a few favourites that last all year around like some of their salads and grilled cheese sandwiches. In the summer time, people swarm over to grab a seat on their outdoor patio while during the colder months, the funky interior is occupied by regulars warming up over hot coffee and tea’s under the array of scattered, plunging light bulbs that decorate the big windows.

All of the sweets options are displayed on the counter top and are the perfect take home treat for you to grab on your way out.  Their fresh out of the oven carrot cake or chocolate chip cookie with sea salt and chilli are some of the most tempting for those who cant resist satisfying their sweet tooth. You’ll want to try them all, and don’t worry; you’ll have the time. Before you know it, you’ll have become a regular at Arts Café.
