Montreal’s Oysterfest is back this Sunday, September 10th, from 12pm to 10pm. This year’s edition is sure to be a wild and wonderful ride, with its new location in Gare Viger in Old Montreal. It just keeps expanding every year!

As always, Oysterfest isn’t just about partying, but also about giving back. This year, they are donating profits to the World Wildlife Fund Canada. A fun time for a good cause! We can get behind that.

What does one do at Oysterfest? Well, drink and eat to your heart’s content! So many delicious Montreal restaurants will have a station where you can purchase a tasty morsel of food or drink. And of course, if you’re not eating oysters, why are you even going? Oysters galore can be slurped and enjoyed with lemon, tabasco, or in the nude, for the purists.

Which of your Montreal favourites will be there? La Betise, the Kinka Family, Emiliano’s, Ryu, Burger Bar, The Tomahawk Group (think Santos, Dolcetto, and Tommy), Pub St Pierre, Burrito Shop, Boozipop, Junior, Diablo, and more! We’re already drooling.

And a festival isn’t a festival without some form of entertainment. There will be competitions galore! Both an amateur and pro shucking competition, a Walters Caesar competition, a Made with Booze Cocktail competition, and the pièce de résistance, a Seafood Platter competition.
