As much as we are all avid fans of IKEA, having one-of-a-kind things in our home is nice, especially when it sparks jealousy in others. Where better to find unique crafts than at this year’s Marche Artisanal MTL (MAMTL).

The second-annual MAMTL is taking place at L’Eglise St-Enfant de Jesus in Mile-End near Laurier Metro. The 2-day weekend event takes place September 10-11th, 2016. The fair as a whole is committed to promoting handmade and 100% local art and products.

The fair will have four main categories of products: fashion and accessories, beauty and well-being, art and deco, and kid’s stuff, so don’t tell us you won’t find something you love. Do you love bath bombs (rhetorical question, of course you do)? Who better to buy it from that our own Quebec artisans!

More than just selling products over the course of the weekend, there will also be activities taking place with the goal of celebrating and showcasing Quebec entrepreneurship. There will be activities for both adults and kids, like soap making workshops.

Celebrate the new fall season by perusing over 80 stands of creative crafts, jewelry, furniture, make-up, and more. It’s never too early to pick up some back-up gifts for when you get invited to someone’s house over the holidays and you don’t want to show up empty handed.

So before the new semester bogs you down, take a walk in the beautiful Mile-End and check out MAMTL! Check out their Facebook page to see the complete list of participating artisans.
