You know that summer has finally arrived when Terrasses Bonsecours opens its (proverbial) doors and launches terrace season! With one of the biggest terraces in the city, Terrasses Bonsecours is the it destination throughout summer in Montreal. We were there to take in the sights, smells, and tastes of Montreal’s most famous outdoor bar on May 14th.

The mood was set with a tropical paradise theme that did not disappoint. Guests were given a selfie-stick to take fabulous photos throughout the night, ensuring that regardless of the alcohol consumption, no one would forget their experience. Colourful, vibrant, and tasty fruit greeted guests upon arrival for the perfect snack upon walking in. But before they joined the festivities, guests stopped at the flash tattoo station to get some gold and silver tats to add some glam to their outfits. And it wouldn’t be a tropical theme without an abundance of florals, so there was also a flower station where the ladies could choose flowers for their hair while the gents could spruce up their lapels.

The sun gods looked favourably on Tracey Brooke PR and the Terrasses Bonsecours team, because it was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and it was just warm enough to feel like we were truly in a tropical beach resort, sipping on cocktails among beautiful people.

The cocktails were flowing and the canapés were being distributed by hungry and somewhat boozy media guests. Peanut butter chicken skewers, meatballs, hummus on toasted bread, and bruschetta were distributed to the delight of everyone. The bites were tasty and the perfect accompaniment to the Grand Marnier cocktail bar. Signature cocktails were available at the bar with combinations such as Grand Marnier, Tanqueray, grapefruit juice, lemon, thyme, soda, and fresh raspberries. Cocktails like these really spell out summer, making us anxious for the warm season ahead.
