If you’re a lover of Halloween, or enjoy getting spooked, then the Montreal Ghost Walk is for you. Taking place in Old Montreal, the Ghost Walk is a nighttime event of interactive street theater. Professional actors come together to create the show, dressed up as well-known Montreal ghosts roaming the streets. The event will provide a few history lessons and will cause a lot of jumping and screaming.

Follow your guide during the 90-minute guided tour through the dark streets and prepare to come into contact with ghosts, or stop to listen to various Montreal ghost stories. The tour runs through June to October, with special events on Halloween night.

You can choose the type of tour you wish to embark on. The Montreal Ghost Walk Tour allows you to walk the streets and explore haunted places, either on the east or west side of Montreal. The Montreal Ghost Walk takes place every Saturday starting June 21 to October 24, 2014, and starting July 2 to August 31, 2014 it is available every Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

If you’re really into ghosts and all there is to the supernatural world, then you would most likely be interested in the Montreal Ghost Hunt Tour, which is more interactive than the walk. You can hunt down the ghosts, meet them, and listen to their stories and the epic tales of their deaths. The Montreal Ghost Hunt is only made available starting in July, running from July 4 to August 29, 2014.

The tours are offered in both French and English and begin at 8:30pm, with the exception of the Halloween tour, which begins at 6:30pm. Tickets are $22 for adults, $18.50 for students with I.D., $14.50 for youth (ages 12 to 17), and must be purchased in advance. To book your tickets, click here.

The meeting location is only revealed once tickets are retrieved at the ticket booth. Do you dare to be scared?
