Yeehaw! The Sheriff Festival Returns to the Old Port

Montreal is about to go full country once again! The Sheriff Festival is back for its second edition, running September 19 to 21, 2025, at the Quai Jacques-Cartier in the Old Port of Montreal. After a roaring first year, the festival returns with even more flavour, music, and family fun, promising a true Wild West experience in the heart of the city.

Three Days of Country Fun

Over three days, festival-goers can immerse themselves in all things country:

  • Line dancing workshops with Cowboy Barbu, Winslow Dancers, and Madeleine Mae.
  • Live concerts and shows, including Sunset Horizon, Vince Lemire, The Bounty Hunters, and even a Shania Twain tribute by Up!
  • Country DJ sets live from the Sheriff’s Terrace, featuring Bye bye mon cowboy and Mr. Miles.

And of course, no cowboy gathering would be complete without lasso lessons, mechanical bull rides, inflatable games, and festive BBQs to keep the energy high from day to night.

Southern Flavours at the Sheriff’s BBQ

Food is at the heart of the Sheriff Festival. Expect a full-on feast of smoky, hearty Southern classics:

  • Smoked meats and brisket
  • Loaded baked potatoes
  • Chicken sandwiches
  • Poutines and more

With themed BBQs and food trucks, every bite will transport you straight to the American Southwest.

Fun for the Whole Family

This isn’t just a party for adults, families are more than welcome. Kids (10 and under) get in free, and everyone can enjoy carnival-style inflatable games, skill-testing challenges, and the thrill of taming the mechanical bull. It’s the perfect weekend outing that blends music, food, and play.
