Magnolia trees only bloom at the beginning of each spring; however, these beautiful flowers have a lasting impression even after they are gone. The same can be said about Alesia: a remarkable little girl who moved everyone who knew her with her strength, bigger-than-life personality, and enormous capacity to love. On May 1, 2010, Alesia passed away due to a rare and undetectable heart condition called Endocardial Fibroelastosis, but has since left us with a lasting impression, just like magnolias.

Alesia’s parents, Bill Karidogiannis and Sheyda Senoglu, set up the Alesia’s Magnolias Fund in October 2010 to continue celebrating the life of their inspiring little girl. The Alesia’s Magnolias Fund benefits the cardiology department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Together they have created meaningful events that have successfully generated more than $230,000. Back in 2010, Alesia’s parents made a pledge to raise $400,000, and they have officially surpassed their halfway mark!

To achieve their goal, they have organized a grand fundraising gala taking place on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the magnificent Le Mirage golf course. It will be a magical evening of glitz, glam, and wonderful people supporting an incredible cause. The evening will consist of entertainment by celebrity drummer and percussionist Dahov, a wine and cheese cocktail, followed by a full course meal.

You may want to unbuckle your belts by dessert time, because there will be a mouth-watering sweet table to complete the evening. Expect treats from Roxy’s Designs, Petit Plaisir Chocolata, and Mr. Puffs. Not to mention frappés with the help of Groupe Alimentaire Miron, because word has it that an Alesia’s Magnolias event isn’t the same without a Frappé station!
