We’ve all gone to breast cancer walks and galas benefitting prostate cancer, or any charity raising money for some form of cancer or other. What we forget is that research isn’t the only thing that costs a pretty penny when it comes to helping patients. There is plenty of costly equipment associated with the care of patients that the government can’t always cover with basic Medicare. Some children have conditions that they are forced to live with for the rest of their lives (or until science finds a cure), and are in need of complex technologies to improve their quality of life. That’s where the SVR Foundation comes in. They are a charitable foundation raising money for the Complex Care Services at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Montreall.com and Tanya-Kay are proud to be a part of their charitable gala, Cocktails & Couture for a Cause, on May 13th, 2015 at La Toundra in Parc Jean Drapeau. The night will be hosted by ET Canada’s Natasha Gargiulo and will be a haven for foodie and fashion aficionado alike.
Tickets are $125 and come with a partial tax receipt issued upon purchase. Expect to see a fashion show from designer Antoinette Di Carlo of Di Carlo Couture, a DJ spinning all evening, and a special performance from Habs anthem singer Cherylyn Toca. There will be a silent auction as well as raffle tickets sold separately if you’d like to try your hand at winning or purchasing incredible goodies.
Enjoy a night of drinks flowing from mixologist Brahm Mauer, an espresso bar from Baristello of Caffe San Simeon, and a tea bar from Mighty Leaf. There will be plenty of food stations throughout the night, with canapes served by Buffet Sorrento, and delectable munchies from Anabel, Hof Kelsten, Henri Saint-Henri, Dillalo, Shuck Me Oysters, Epik Resto Terrasse, Nicolina Servello, and Trattoria Micco.
Those of you with a sweet tooth are in luck, because after the hearty food come the sugary delights from Trou de Beigne, Lafrenaie, La Fontana Gelati Bar & Lounge, and Bad Monkey Popcorn.
