Experience Italy right here in Montreal with the ever-popular Italian Week, back for its 23rd edition. It will be going down from August 5th to the 14th. Events and festivities will be happening in Montreal’s Little Italy, NDG, and various locations in the East End.

Little Italy is action packed all year round, and will be more so during this exciting event that’s dedicated to the celebration of the Italian culture in Canada. Both Italians and non-Italians are never disappointed with this annual event that pleases all of the senses. During Italian week, Montrealers will enjoy fine cuisine, music, opera, art, fashion, car exhibits, and much more. It’s a not too miss event that should be automatically marked on everyone’s calendar. Here’s a little taste of what to expect this year.

Little Italy Tours

A perfect way to learn about the Italian community, this on-foot guided tour will take you through this amazing borough that truly symbolizes the growth of Quebec’s Italian population. Great for anyone with visitors from out of town or for those of you who want to play tourist in your own hometown. Tours will be conducted in English, French and Italian; reservations are required. Italian Film Festival

For all you film buffs out there, you won’t want to miss out on the classis films that will be shown during Montreal’s Italian Week. This year, over 20 classic Italian films will be shown at the Casa D’Italia, Leonardo Da Vinci Center, Musée Mcord and Musée Des Beaux-Arts. The best part about this is: it’s free! Cooking Classes, Italian Style

No Montreal event would be complete without food! Add some Italian in there and you know it won’t disappoint. Moda Sotto Le Stelle Fashion Show

A main and popular event each year at Montreal Italian Week, Moda Sottoe Le Stelle (or fashion under the stars for you non-Italians) will be taking place at the Mastro & San Daniele Stage on August 13th. Fashion lovers will be in heaven as they marvel at the latest styles and collections by very talented designers. We know Montrealers love to spend their time outside during the summer and what better way than at this vibrant show.

Marco Calliari

Singer Marco Calliari is back for the second year in a row for Montreal Italian week. Born in Montreal and a very proud Italian, Marco will be performing many hit songs from various artists in Italian on August 12th at the Mastro & San Daniele Stage. He’s performed numerous concerts all over Canada, the United States, and Europe. We’re very happy to have him back home for this awesome event.
