Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone – oh who are we kidding, we’re all still spending way too many hours shopping, especially online, when we’re in fact supposed to be “working.” Whether it’s to get an early jumpstart on our Christmas gift list or rewarding yourself for getting through another crazy year, online shopping is simply the best! You don’t have to leave your house, face the harsh weather, potentially go to jail for fighting with aggressive shoppers, heck you don’t even need to put on a bra or lipstick! Everything is at your disposal with a few simple clicks.

Eventually though, you will need to take a break to eat and refuel, and we have the perfect solution for you. Did you know you could order food online right here in Montreal and have it delivered right to your door? You read right, faithful readers! You can request a delivery from one (or many) of your favourite local restaurants on Foodora‘s website. It’s easy, quick, and super convenient. We were fortunate enough to be invited to a “foodie crawl” to check out some new hot spots recently added to Foodora. Check out their website to see all of the other fabulous restaurants they work with.

Shanghai Grill

Our first stop was for some tasty Chinese comfort food at Shanghai Grill, located on Saint-Catherine close to Atwater and steps away from the AMC Forum. The restaurant is very visually appealing and so are the prices! They have typical entrées such as wonton soup, spring rolls, and everyone’s favourite – dumplings! There’s quite a selection for your main meals and they offer combos as well. Perfect for groups who just want to order a bunch of food and share amongst friends. Soups and entrées go for $4.50-$8.50 while main meals go from $9.50-$17.50.

Roasters BBQ

Calling all BBQ chicken lovers out there! You have to go to Roasters! With its original location in Marche Central and a second location on Atwater connected to Place Alexis Nihon, one Roasters simply wasn’t enough to satisfy our cravings. Roasters is a great place to grab a few after work beers while watching your favourite sports team on one of their many television screens. They have a great selection of appetizers to go with their main meals of rotisserie chicken, ribs, hamburgers, poutines, and all the other important staples part of a Montrealer’s winter diet. Prices are moderate but you’ll definitely get a good size meal: mains are between $10-$20 while appetizers go for $8-$13. Show up hungry and leave your diet at the door!
