We’ve raved about the dinner at Le Slang and about the geniuses behind the bar and in the kitchen, and now they’ve one-upped themselves and started a trend we hope won’t fade: party brunch. What’s that, you ask? Well, the guys at Le Slang team up with the best of the best in Montreal and throw a foodie extravaganza you won’t want to miss. The best part? They do it again and again, every month.

Le Slang offered brunch on weekends once upon a time but it was cut from their roster. We were one of the few who got the chance to sample some incredible morsels and all we have to say is this: BRING BRUNCH BACK! But we guess we’ll have to make due with the party brunches until they answer and heed our pleading.

Although, we really shouldn’t complain. The party brunches are nothing short of fabulous. The food is never ending, the drinks are flowing (can you say boozy brunch? – our favourite kind!), and the DJ is spinning tracks all day. It really is a party!

Their last party brunch was themed “Up in Smoke – Cookin’ it Old School” with heavy hitters like Joe Rodriguez from Tapas 24, Athiraj Phrasavath from Mercuri, and Baristello from Caffè San Simeon, to name a few. They threw an epic BBQ with more food you could possibly eat (but eat, you will!), paving the way for the next edition. Did we mention they have beautiful windows that open up completely into their even more beautiful terrace? Well, now you know. (Picture it now: day drunk on the terrace, in foodie heaven. Yeah, that’s right.)

On Sunday, July 5th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, Le Slang is throwing their Party Brunch 3.0, Street Food Edition. Some of the same faces from the last party brunch will be in attendance along with some new (and very welcome) additions, like Erik Mandracchia and Jonathan Agnello from Porchetta Mtl, John Mike from Tripes and Caviar, and Pablo Rohas and Hakim Rajal from Provisions.

If we know anything about Le Slang chefs Carlo Amalfi and Giancarlo Martino, is that they make incredible food. Not only that, we have all the faith in the world that they know how to put together a stellar team to throw a delicious and savoury party brunch. Make your reservations ASAP! The tables are sure to go fast. If you can’t make it this time, follow them on Facebook and Instagram to get a heads up on next month’s party brunch. Hope to see you all there!
