The Grand Prix weekend has long been one of the craziest weekends of the year in Montreal. With the festival being renewed for another 8 years minimum, we will be experiencing the F1 craziness for a good while to come. From $1000 cover mega parties to morning-after recovery brunches, this June 8th through to the 11th promises to be yet another intense weekend of nonstop action, partying, and festivities. If you are wondering where to go for the most intense scenes, here are some suggestions.

Somwhr hosts Lamborghini & Don Perignon’s Grand Prix Weekend

For the past two years, Somwhr has been the premiere place for the indecisive… the ones who don’t care where they go… they just want to go somewhere (pun intended). Thankfully, going to Somwhr usually results in a great time with amazing drinks in the unique location. As such, when they host Don Perignon and Lamborghini’s Grand Prix Weekend party, they do it with charm and panache. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Somwhr will be hosting incredible parties with guest DJs including Montreal’s own Yao and Vito V on Thursday. We will surely be starting off our crazy weekend there. Call ahead for reservation or for bottle service.

Bottom Line: June 8th, 10pm – 3am @ Somwhr. Club night with Don Perignon Ft. DJ Yao & Vito V.

Ritz-Carlton’s La Grand Prix Soirée

ritz carlton grand prix montreal f1 weekend

As black tie exclusive parties go, Aston Martin and Red Bull’s Grand Prix Soirée is right up there. Get ready to meet some of the nightlife nobility of Montreal because this party will put you right in the thick of high class partying. Hosted at the Ritz-Carlton, the night will include a buffet by executive chef Johnny Porte, live performances all night, and luxury gift bags for the lucky 500 who attend. It is also sponsored by Moët & Chandon, so expect champagne and any other drink you like until late into the night. And that’s a must, because at $730 tax in, you’re going to need something to forget that hit to your bank account. But honestly, its Grand Prix, is there really a better time to let loose? There are still tickets available here so make sure to snatch up yours before they are gone.

Bottom Line: June 9th, 7pm – 3am @ The Ritz-Carlton. Exclusive black tie event. $730/p.

Martini Grand Prix Party

MARTINILOGO

The Williams racing parties tend to be very well liked each year. This year they’ve chosen one of the nicest terrasses in old Montreal: the Hotel William Gray‘s 8th floor terrasse. With Martini sponsoring the party, expect the drinks to flow all night with delectable finger foods flowing out the kitchen all night. Consider it the perfect pre-party party, where you can go watch the sun set over our amazing city. Hopefully you already have your tickets or someone bought them for you because this exclusive party has already been sold out. It’s no surprise considering the location and perfect timing between our boozy brunch and the Saturday night party.

Bottom Line: June 10th, 8:30pm – 11:30pm @ Hotel William Gray. Unlimited martini party. Sold Out.

L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel

This year, L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel has pulled out all the stops. They have events literally all weekend, starting with a red carpet BBQ opening party on Thursday the 8th . Then on both Thursday and Friday night, great parties will be hosted as of 10pm until late with an especially delicious Paris theme on Friday night. Follow that up with the return of Bagatelle Brunch on Saturday and a DJ filled Grand Prix Crazyness party Saturday night. However, we’re most excited for Sunday’s 50th Anniversary of the Grand Prix party, hosted by the infamous ABGE. Expect celebrities and F1 pilots galore at this, one of the biggest parties of the year. Nab the last few tickets here, including Sunday’s tickets at $95.

Bottom Line: June 11th, 10pm – 3am @ L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel. Celebrity dense closing party. $96/p.

La Terrasse Belvedere’s Pop-Up Party

la terrasse belvedere montreal grand prix f1 weekend

Last year, the Belvedere’s terrasse was on Peel and part of the street festival therein. However, this year they have decided to get closer to the action of Old Montreal and pop themselves squarely between L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel and the Vieux-Port Steakhouse. Expect Champagne brunches in the Miami style of Villa Azur and French cocktails and finger-foods. Thursday and Friday will have a party from 5pm to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday will see an 11am – 11pm terrace party. The important thing here is that there is no cover. Come, listen to the live DJs, drink the delicious cocktails, and revel in the fact that summer is finally here.

Bottom Line: June 8th – 11th @ Terrace Belvedere. Pop-up parties all weekend sponsored by Belvedere.

The F1 Festival has taken many shapes over the years. This year finds it on Peel between Sainte-Catherine and De Maisonneuve. The car-inspired festival runs simultaneous to the Grand Prix and involves every terrace on Peel as well as a special installation: the Peel Paddock. This exclusive area will be hosting nightly parties between June 8th and June 11th. It will include half a dozen guest DJs every night, including Andrew Pololos and Evangelos, and each of those nights will have their own theme. Whether it is Champagne Drift sponsored by Piper Heidsieck, Lost Control sponsored by Johnnie Walker, or Off the Grid sponsored by Cîroc, each of the parties will be intense. Reservations are made by calling in with many packages available.

Bottom Line: June 8th – 11th @ Formula Peel. Party to a flurry of DJs overlooking the Peel festival.

Adventure Club at NCG LIV & Marquee Pop-Up

adventure club at new city gas montreal grand prix f1 weekend

Adventure Club has been making waves in the EDM world and we’ve been lucky to hear them play in Montreal on numerous occasions. Montreal is their hometown so the show is definitely going to be bananas. On June 9th, show up at 10pm to make sure you get in (this event is sure to sell out), and the handsome DJs will be on at 12:30am. While not exactly for Grand Prix, you’ll be in the thick of the festivities as NCG has some pretty epic partners for this event. It’s going to be even more *lit*, as it’s a LIV Miami and Marquee New York Pop Up party. It’s going to be insane. Tickets are only $20 with guest list available.

Bottom Line: June 9th, 10pm – 3am  @ New City Gas. Adventure Club hometown show. $20/p.

Thursday will be risky business (who needs to be productive on Fridays anyway?), Friday will welcome an F1 Juliette Rose, Saturday is going to be wild with Zoobois, and Sunday is the official Heineken F1 closing party. The Code20 is hosting this epic closing party. They’ve hosted Grand Prix parties around the world, and their events are always exclusive and always not to be missed.
