We love to support Montrealers, and we love to support hardworking and creative ones even more. That’s why we love the work Cavallo Designs has put into organizing another year for Radix: Designer by Nature, bringing together talent from our wonderful city and showcasing it to all of us – for free.
Last year’s event was wonderful and helped us to discover so much wonderful talent, and we can’t wait to discover new people and their creations once again this year. The event is 3 days only, starting today, and is located at the beautiful venue on 731 de la Commune in Old Montreal. Prepare to be wowed.
Tonight, September 7th, is the vernissage from 6pm to 10pm. Mingle with the artists and get inside their heads. We love to find out what inspired a specific piece!
Tomorrow, September 8th, is the marketplace from 5pm to 10pm, where you’ll be able to purchase goods from local artists and vendors. Make sure your wallets are ready for an incredible shopping spree!
The last night will be especially exciting. On Friday, September 9th, watch a live performance by Royal Boulevard Band and get grooving to the music. Also, there will be a live art performance by Lisa Forese. Watch an artist paint a masterpiece right in front of you!
New this year, Radix will be donating 40% of the proceeds from the exhibition as well as 100% of the proceeds from the sale of promotional items to a worthy cause: the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. You can support local artists and donate to a wonderful cause!
Some artists we’re especially excited to see is our own Tania Schiliro (Montreall.com writer and talented artist – a double whammy!) Check her out at @madamatadame on Instagram. Barista and photographer extraordinaire Piero Ciampoli (@baristello) will also be on hand showing us the city through his lense.
Other artists and merchants include Cynthia Magri (@magrimarks), Ella Dugre (@elladugre), Antoine Tava (@antoinetava), and so many more.
