Terrasses Bonsecours has launched its 2014 summer season and it started with a bang on Thursday, June 15th at the Bistro Bonsecours with a Cordon Rouge casual-chic soirée. With hundreds looking to put a sweet end to their Thursday workday, the Bistro’s 5 à 7 proved to be a pleasant and exciting precursor of what’s to come. With a full-fledged BBQ and tapas menu, your favorite summer sangrias and cocktails, as well as one of the top summer vibes in town, Bistro Bonsecours is looking to make an impact this summer (finally). We’ve always expected more of this beautiful location in the past and are very pleased to see that this summer’s calendar will be taken to new heights.

With revamped cabanas and booths on the side of the Bistro, tropical plants cleverly placed at every corner, entertainment and performances, as well as a fresh looking staff, the Bistro looks promising. All this was apparent at their opening event, with a live Jazz band complete with singer, saxophonist, drummer, and double bassist, alternating with the Bistro’s very own DJ.

Which menu items might interest you: The Starter Plate (bruschetta, olive tapenade, and hummus served with grilled ciabatta bread), Loukaniko (greek sausage), Oysters, Shrimp on the Barbie, Tartares, Grilled Octopus, and our favourite by far, the Lil’ Mac (melted gruyère cheese, caramelized onions, and a special Bistro version of your favourite sauce).

Bistro Bonsecours is a definite recommendation this season. Stay tuned for other special weekly events to be announced very soon. For now, keep the Bistro on your short list of top 5 à 7 destinations.
