We bet you’ve walked but this restaurant dozens of times, peering into its colourful interior but not knowing whether it was worth a visit or not. Well, with 25 years under its belt, it’s definitely worth a visit, or two, or three… you get the point. El Zaziummm celebrated its 25th birthday this summer and we were on hand for the festivities, and boy were they festive!
For their birthday, they brought a goat… for real. It was just chilling, eating hay, and making friends with the neighbourhood dogs. That definitely set the tone for the night to come!
The music was definitely a fun addition; we even got treated to a live band! With an exciting atmosphere comes a colourful and eye-catching décor. There’s something interesting to look at in every corner. The ceiling itself is covered in sombreros! One of the tables is an actual bathtub with glass on top. Very different!
Now for the food. We were surprised to find out how delicious this Tex Mex restaurant is! They consider their cuisine Californian, Latin American, and Mexican. Our favourite dish was without a doubt the coconut shrimp. These jumbo shrimp were bursting with flavour and we couldn’t get enough.
El Zaziummm is known for their Monster Sandwich that weighs 3.5 lbs! It has 2 lbs of grilled chicken, tomatoes, guacamole, shredded cheese, and bacon. We dare you to take the challenge. Think you can finish it? For those not up for the challenge, they also offer a Mini Monster Sandwich.
They have tacos, guacamole, fajitas, chilli, enchiladas, burgers, and more. Everything is full of flavour and the portions are very generous. The menu is full of delicious eats. They also offer a tapas combo if you just feel like a bunch of fun plates to share with friends.
El Zaziummm also has tons of awesome specials. Their everyday 5à7 gives you a bucket of 5 Palm Bays for $22 as well as $2 tacos (Tuesdays: chicken tacos; Wednesdays: beef tacos; Thursdays: fish tacos; Fridays: pork and pineapple tacos).
El Zaziummm‘s tastes are just as fun as their décor and we can’t wait to go back to try even more dishes!
