On May 24th, 2015, Quebecor, in collaboration with the STM, presents Montreal Museums Day. This is going to be the 29th edition of the annual event. For the whole day, admissions to any of the 34 participating museums will be free of charge! Not only that, the STM will have special shuttle bus routes running throughout the day to get you to all these museums.

There will also be an event at Quartier des Spectacles at La Promenade des Artistes where a Family Fun Spot will be happening. Starting at 10:30am, you can bring the whole family to participate in some fun creative activities like mural painting. The mural painting will be led by mediator/artists from MU, a group that enhances the city’s look with public murals. Face painting and a thematic photo booth will also be among creative activities.

This creative event at Quartier des Spectacles also marks the addition of the Musée de l’imprimerie du Québec and the Canadian Guild of Crafts.

The 34 participating museums include the Montreal Biodome, the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium, the McCord Museum, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, and the Biosphere. Please note that the Botanical Gardens and the Insectarium will not be participating in the free admission during Museums Day but they will be open.
