Gatto Matto has it all. Located in the newly constructed Place Bell in Laval, Gatto Matto will keep you dreaming about its beautiful décor and delicious menu.
To give you perspective on what Gatto Matto brings to the table, we can look at restaurants such as La Belle et La Boeuf, Carlos & Pepe’s, Souvlaki Bar, Bacaro, and the new Miss Wong’s. Foodtastic is trending in an unbelievable direction, bringing Montreal food lovers something to consistently talk about. Developed in 2011, Jacques Gaspo, Peter Mammas, and Lawrence Mammas have been investing their passion for food and their keen view on customer service. This being said, you can imagine the success Gatto Matto is about to have.
Gatto Matto, is a large urban style restaurant with a beautiful open kitchen. You can see the chefs go to work preparing beautiful pizzas and fresh pastas. This classic Italian style food has a unique modern American twist leaving its guests satisfied and wanting more. Gatto Matto is beautifully decorated with its rose inspired theme and modern dining comforts. Its enormous wine bar allows for its more casual diners to enjoy a drink, while also sitting comfortably to enjoy a meal. The dining room is split into two sections allowing for bigger groups to enjoy large dining space, and smaller intimate groups to enjoy the comforts of sitting together. If we had to grade the beauty of it, we would simply say, five stars.
The menu is an example of classic Italian comfort food, presented in their unique way. The ingredients are prominent and fresh, and we can vouch for the execution of delicious flavours and promising taste.
Chef Angelo Mercuri offers us fresh burrata, delicious calamari, traditional pizzas good for sharing, and of course, pasta. Having tasted our fare share of gnocchi, Gatto Matto was one of the few places that executed excellently. Their homemade Gnocchi isn’t stuffed with overwhelming amounts of starchy potatoes, but rather blended with an excellent ratio, making this gnocchi and crumbled sausage dish one of our favourites.
Gatto Matto offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm allowing customers to take full advantage of their bottomless brunch options. Whether it’s an aperol spritz or bougie mimosas, you’ll be able to pair these drinks with their ricotta pancakes, classic French toast, or even Frattatina del Giorno.
We recommend Gatto Matto, for any occasion, whether on a date, or a night out with friends and family. Understand that this restaurant will draw you back in for more. For more information about their menu and any other specifications, visit their website or their Facebook page!
