Montreal is a dangerously glutinous place, we have Burger Week, Poutine Week, and now low and behold we have grilled cheese MONTH. L’Gros Luxe has answered all our prayers and then some and have created Grilled Cheese Month happening at all their locations! For the whole month of November, each L’Gros Luxe location will be serving up a specialty grilled cheese of the week. 7 locations, 4 grilled cheesed each… we have our work cut out for us.
This is so kind of them, because November really is the worst. The cold is upon us, exams are approaching, it’s not QUITE the time for Christmas music (chill it guys!) – so warm your soul with the queen of comfort food. Let us be clear, it is not amateur hour with these grilled cheeses; they’ve created variations from Nacho Grilled Cheese, to Hawaiian Grilled Cheese, to Shepard’s Pie Grilled Cheese!
Our personal favourite is the Jamaican grilled cheese being served up at the Mile End location – made with jerk chicken, swiss cheese, and butternut squash; just the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. All their grilled cheese range in price between $10-13.
