In the spirit of Movember, the newly renovated Theatre Ste. Catherine is hosting a comedy event where two teams of comedians will go head to head. At the end of the night, there will be a winning team and, to toupee it all off (you can expect a night of hairy humour) the audience gets to participate along the way. It’s called The Ultimate Shave Off Comedy Show because the losing team’s captain will have his facial hair shaven off in front of a live audience.
Leading the comedy teams will be the mustached comedian Darren Henwood and the bearded comic Scott Andrew Carter. Both men will have a team of local comedians who will help them to win the shave-off. After each round of comedians, audience members will vote for their favourite act and those votes will ultimately decide the winning team.
Get to know some of Montreal’s homegrown funny people, such as Leonard Yelle, Shawn Stenhouse, Genius Gold, Daniel Carin, Chris Sandiford, Jason Hatrick, and Jacob Greco. The event will be refereed by Mike Carrozza.
If you’re in the mood for some good ol’ fashioned laughs or if you’re a fan of comedy battles, head over to Theatre Ste. Catherine for The Ultimate Shave Off. The show is on Friday, November 21st, at 9:00pm. Tickets are $10. You can buy your tickets online or by phone. If you haven’t bought tickets already, don’t desp-hair! You can also pick them up at the door an hour before the show.
