How’d you like a chance to meet Mark Cuban, ABC’s Shark Tank star and owner of NBA’s Dallas Mavericks? Well you’re in luck, because he’ll be in Montreal for iBellieve Foundation’s A Rare Evening: A Touch of Red charity gala.

While we can’t guarantee that you’ll get to meet him personally, we can guarantee that you’ll attend an exceptional event for a great cause. The iBellieve Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for MPS II (Hunter syndrome), and other related rare diseases. This disorder causes declined cardiac function, obstructive airway disease, joint distortion, and enlarged organs.

Simon Ibell is the founder of the iBellieve Foundation, having been born with Hunter syndrome himself. He is one of 40 people in Canada and approximately 2,000 people in the world who have this disease. He has travelled all over for a cure, and has in turn become a spearhead for change.

Mark Cuban will deliver the keynote speech, and other Montreal personalities will also be in attendance to show their support. The event is hosted by Camille DG, TV personality and founder of Le Cahier blog, and Jay Walker, of Global TV and MTL Rocks on CHOM 97.7.

The gala will take place at the Montreal Science Center on Thursday, February 25th from 6:30pm to 11:30pm and guests are encouraged to wear a touch of red to show their support.

A Touch of Red seeks to entertain you too, dear readers, with Montreal DJ YO-C and burlesque performer Miss Sugarpuss. Mingle to great music and bask in Montreal’s awesome talent.

And because we know you’ll be hungry, we’ll let you in on a little (poorly kept) secret: the food is going to be delicious. Munch on noms from Schwartz’ deli, Ristorante Beatrice, Tuck Shop, Léché Desserts, Taverne Gaspar, Burgundy Lion, and Bars Boutique. We can’t wait to sample each and every dish (we’ll probably skip breakfast and lunch to make sure we have room)! Talk about eating Montreal’s best!
