Vestibule set up shop on The Main about a month ago and is sure to catch everyone’s eye. This adorable boutique carries everything from clothing to home decor items. Audrey Morissette, the storeowner and designer, came up with the idea all by herself…with a little bit of help from Pinterest. Previously a French high school teacher, Audrey decided to tackle her passion for fashion and interior décor, combining the two into Vestibule Boutique.
Upon entering the boutique, you feel at home, or at least at the home you wish you had. It’s nothing like any other boutique we’ve had here in Montreal. Audrey decided to carry all of her favourite things and wrap it up in a vintage theme.
There is clothing hung along the walls and in the middle of the store there are items for your kitchen, such as placemats, cutlery, tablecloths, and much more. They also carry lingerie, candles, soaps, hand creams, teas, pillows, and jars, just to name a few. All of the teacups and cutlery are vintage, making each of them unique. The jewelry is handmade from New York and Montreal, supporting our local artisans.
Every piece is displayed in perfect sequence and placed just so, making you wonder if you’ve stepped into an art gallery instead of a store. It’s all so pretty you may be afraid to touch it, but you’ll be too tempted not to. Entering into Vestibule is like walking into a 3D catalogue.
