Montreal has so many bars, it’s sometimes tough to find one that really suits our mood. Most of the bars in the downtown core are riddled with tourists and 18 year olds, so we generally steer clear when looking for a night out on the town. However, de la Montagne is seeing a sort of revival with new stores popping upend now, a new trendy nightclub.
Les Siècles opened up this summer and at the onset of fall has expanded their opening hours to include weekday 5à7s and more bumping and grinding all night long (well, until 3am). We’re loving it!
When you go down the stairs (are all the coolest nightclubs underground now?), you enter a sexy space that is a mix of nightclub and bar. Opulent booths line the walls with a gorgeous bar in the back. On opening night, the crowd was older (30 is the new 20!), and we hope it stays that way. The mood is mature with a hint of danger and adventure, ensuring a great night out.
Unlike most nightclubs, you can order cocktails that are fancier and tastier than the typical speed rail drinks. The cocktail menu was designed by mixologist Lawrence Picard, so you know it’s going to be tasty AF with the appropriate kick.
For a sexy 5à7 or just for a night out when you’re in the mood for a cocktail (or 6), Les Siècles is a great choice. Have a few drinks, let go of your inhibitions, and let the music take you on a ride.
