Everyone knows that chocolate reigns supreme as the ruler of the dessert world. Thankfully, we’ve hit the jackpot with C’Chocolat, a dessert restaurant that specializes in absolutely everything chocolate in the heart of downtown Montreal. In their latest menu, the chefs had created five new chocolatey milkshake flavours that are guaranteed to hit the spot.
C’Chocolat is a relatively new dessert spot that opened on Bishop’s street in 2015. You may have heard of them for their signature C’Wow dessert: a dark chocolate dome that, once drenched in a warm caramel sauce, melts to reveal an assortment of waffle, brownies, and gelato. Their menu includes a wide array of chocolately goodness like fondues, dessert pizzas, crepes, and waffles. Their chocolate milkshakes in particular are an absolute must, and lucky for us they just released five new decadent flavours to indulge in.
C’Chocolat’s new milkshake menu is quite literally a chocolate lover’s dream. It has all the chocolately decadence and outrageous flavuors of their previous menu, but with crazy new combinations that will have you struggling to pick just one. Their milkshakes are all based in creamy Italian gelato and blended with only the utmost quality ingredients. The chefs have also suggested alcohol pairings for each milkshake if you want to kick things up a notch. Each C’Chocolat milkshake is served in a trendy mason jar to give it that Instgram-worthy presentation. These new shakes are so decadent but not as heavy as you would expect, so you could slurp through the whole thing (almost) guilt-free!
The first milkshake we tried off the new menu was “La Noisette”. If you’re a big fan of Nutella, this is the milkshake for you. This nutty treat is a blend of premium chocolate milk, hazelnut gelato, and Nutella. The shake was topped with fluffy hazelnut mousse and a Ferrero Rocher chocolate for extra-hazelnutty goodness. The suggested liqueur for this sweet drink is Frangelico hazelnut liqueur. We loved the chocolately drizzle along the sides of the mason jar and the serving board, as it fed our eyes before getting to our stomach!
The next milkshake we dove into was the “Oreo Cheesecake.” Imagine taking the best dessert known to man and blending it into a milkshake. Thankfully, you don’t need to only imagine it because this shake tastes EXACTLY like a creamy blended slice of decadent Oreo Cheesecake. With a sweet vanilla gelato base, this milkshake is blended up with cheesecake mousse and Oreos. Add some Kahlua for a little bit of a sweet edge too! This drink was topped with fluffy whipped cream and an Oreo cookie.
We already can’t wait to come back again and devour their other new milkshake flavours. We particularly have our eye on the “Caramel Kiss.” This one creates a classic combination of salty and sweet with fleur de sel caramel, pretzels, and Twix!
Next time you’re in need of a chocolate fix, C’Chocolat will certainly deliver. Their new milkshake flavours pack a fully-loaded chocolate punch to satisfy the sweet tooth in everyone, so head on over and start sipping!
