Montrealers love L’Avenue. They are renowned for having the best eggs benedict in Montreal, and arguably the best brunch. We were so eggcited (get it?) to be invited to their new restaurant opening in Boucherville in the South Shore. They have two other locations, one in St-Henri and the OG location in The Plateau.

We were welcomed to this spacious, new location with a delicious mimosa each and seated opposite the gorgeous murale painted on the wall. Giant, modern chandeliers hung from the ceiling, along with old school cars – very funky décor. Even the bathroom was a cool experience with endless mirrors and selfie potential!

Each guest could opt for one of six brunch options they had, highlighting their new dishes. It was so hard to choose since everything sounded amazing!! We chose the steak eggs benny, and the panko-crusted French toast eggs benedict. We also eyed other guests’ plates and if you have a sweet tooth, the carrot cake pancakes looked divine!

One of our favourite things about L’Avenue is the fact that they serve a generous skewer of fresh fruit before the meal. And if asked, they will bring you a can of Canadian maple syrup! Both dishes were served with their yummy rustic potatoes. We also got to try their smoothies, which were out of this world good! Strawberry-banana was the best.

Wonderful restaurant opening and a great addition to the South Shore! As a parting gift, we got a jar of spicy, homemade jalapeño jam each, which was delicious and unique. If you haven’t already, you have to try L’Avenue!
