There is no better reason to bring Montrealers together than to fight for a good cause. Next Thursday, Rachel Shultz Cosmétiques will be hosting the Kiss on the Lips fundraiser to help raise money for Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better is a foundation that helps women battling cancer feel like themselves again: beautiful both on the inside and out.

Rachel Shultz, a fellow Montrealer and beauty guru entrepreneur, has been volunteering with Look Good Feel Better for five years now, and this year with the Kiss on the Lips fundraiser, she is promoting a fun way to help out well-deserving women in our community.

Proceeds from the event will go towards running workshops that help women across Canada undergoing cancer treatment feel like their former selves again. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries can lead to drastic physical changes, and Look Good Feel Better gets women involved in choosing new wigs, learning new makeup techniques, or trying out new skin care tips.

The event, which will take place Thursday, September 7th at la Gare Viger at 7pm, will have a Gossip Girl theme. Fancy cocktails, luxury cars, and stylish attire will be plentiful. Brahm Mauer will set up the premium bar, and the best of the best will be providing the food: ice cream from la Diperie, gourmet grilled cheese from Le Cheese, goodies from Squish Candy, fresh seafood from Lucille’s, and much more!

There will also be a raffle with the grand prize winner receiving a weekend cruising in a ritzy Mercedes Benz.

Rachel Shultz has chosen to hold the event this year in honour of the beautiful Lindsey Finkelstein, otherwise known by her Instagram handle @tatatomytatas. Lindsey was diagnosed with an advanced stage of breast cancer at just 22 years old in the fall of last year. Her mother was also diagnosed with breast cancer within the same year. Lindsey used the power of social media to take us through her journey, from throwing a booblerette party to commemorate her double mastectomy, to educating her followers on the importance of self-breast examinations (#FeelItOnTheFirst, started by another Montreal cancer thriver, Nalie Agustin). Her spirit can be best described using her hashtag, #HowtoHaveFunwithCancer.
