Summer’s not officially over just yet, so you’d better get a Piknic Électronik Sunday or two in your system before the season closes off on September 21st. This edition sees two locals kicking off the day: Heidy. P brings her fusion of disco, deep house and acid house, while Amir Javasoul spins his brand of Chicago house. And heralding from the legendary Fabric club in London, multi-disciplinary artist Craig Richards will close off the night with a set that’s sure to get the people on the floor.

Scène 1425 is teaming up with Blue Skies Turn Black and I Love Neon to put together a stacked “block party” at the Espace Montmorency, right outside the Montmorency metro station in Laval. Included on the bill are Canadian pop-rock royalty Metric, newly reformed bands Neutral Milk Hotel and Death From Above 1979, and infamous American pop singer Sky Ferreira. Meanwhile, Australian electronic/pop/soul artist Chet Faker is performing at the Olympia Theatre, a worthy alternative to the MRCY Block Party.
