Food festivals in Montreal are aplenty, but we are now home to a new gastronomic event that will melt your socks off: Mac & Cheese Week. That’s right. Ooey, gooey, cheesy goodness. If you like your cheese melty and draped over your favourite pasta, then this festival is for you.
Organized by Le Cheese with co-host L’Gros Luxe, the week-long food-baby-inducing festival is from March 9th to 16th. Better spruce up your gym memberships, because you’re going to want to try every Mac & Cheese you can get your hands on. And we won’t blame you. We’ll be right there with you. Stuffing our faces. No shame whatsoever.
There’s nothing like a little friendly competition, so you’ll get to vote for your favourite dish throughout the week. There will also be a mini survey at the end of your meal that will allow you to tell the chefs what you really think about their cheesy concoctions.
Macs will range from $8 to $18, so they won’t break the bank. Expect crazy combinations that will wow your taste buds and keep you coming back for more. Participating restaurants include Le Cheese, both locations of L’Gros Luxe, Diablos BBQ, Dirty Dogs, SUWU, Burger Royal, Dinette Triple Crown, EVOO, and Pierre et Pierre.
